Shiso Spring Rolls

Ingredients (for 6 spring rolls)

・3 sheets Spring roll skin
・3 sheets Shiso
・0.5 oz Cheese
・0.3 oz Bacon or ham
・Oil for deep-frying

Direction

1. Cut shiso sheets and spring roll skin in half so that you will get 6 of them for each. Cut the bacon (or ham) and cheese into small rectangles.

2. Put shiso, bacon, and cheese on the spring roll skin. Roll while holding the ingredients by hand. Water the edges of the remaining skin, and finish rolling up. Make 6 spring rolls.

3. Prepare oil in your pan. Oil that half soaks the spring rolls is fine. Once the oil gets warm a little, cook spring rolls.
Please note that if the temperature is too high, it will burn quickly. Fry until the both sides turn golden brown.

Shiso Salmon Pasta

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・3 to 3.5 oz Pasta
・1 tbs Salt

・1 tsp Butter
・3 oz Salmon
・Salt and pepper for salmon

・1 tsp Olive oil
・1 oz Onion

・2 tsp Soy sauce
・2 tsp Butter
・1 tsp Bouillon cube
・1 tsp Sugar

・1 tsp Sesame seeds
・4 sheets Shiso
・Black pepper as you like

Direction

1. Cut shiso sheets and onion into fine stripes. Cut salmon into bite-sized. Peel off the skin if you want to. Sprinkle salt and pepper on salmon.

2. Put 1 tsp butter in your frying pan, and cook salmon. Please make the salmon skin crispy. Take it out once it is cooked.

3. Put 1 tsp grated garlic and 1tsp olive oil in the pan. Put onion when you can smell the garlic. Cook until onion become transparent.

4. Cook spaghetti with salt. When the pasta is ready, drain the water and put it in the pan.

5. Put the salmon back in the pan, and add [seasoning A]. Add shiso and sesame seeds too. Mix well. Sprinkle black pepper as you like.

Shiso Tomato Salad

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・5 oz tomato
・2 sheets Shiso

・2 tsp Soy sauce
・2 tsp Vinegar
・1 tsp Sugar
・1 tsp Sesame oil
・1/2 tsp Sesame seeds
・1/2 tsp Lemon juice

Direction

1. Cut shiso sheets into fine stripes. Cut tomato into dice. Put shiso and tomato in your bowl.

2. Put [seasoning A] in the bowl, and mix well.

Ready to eat!

Shiso Miso

Ingredients (for 1-2 serving)

・5 sheets Shiso
・1 tsp Sesame oil
・1/2 tsp Grated ginger
・1/2 tsp Grated garlic
・1 tbsp Miso paste
・2 tsp Mirin
・2 tsp Sugar
・1 tbsp Bonito shavings

Direction

1. Cut shiso sheets into fine stripes.

2. Put sesame oil, grated ginger, and garlic in your small pot.

3. Add miso paste, mirin, and sugar when you can smell the garlic.

4. Boil down until the sauce thickens. Add shiso and bonito shavings to taste.
