1. Croquette (Fried Mashed Potato) Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・7 oz (200g) Potato
・3.5 oz (100g) Ground pork
・1.7 oz (50g) Onion
・1 tsp Butter
・A pinch of Salt
・1/2 tsp Black pepper
・2 tsp Sake
・2 tsp Soy sauce
・2 tsp Sugar
・1 tbsp Flour
・3 tbsp Beaten egg
・6 tbsp Panko (Bread crumbs)
・Oil for deep-frying
Direction
1. Cut potato into small pieces, and cook it in microwave. Mash potatoes.
2. Stir-fry minced onion and ground pork with butter. Season it with salt, black pepper, sake, soy sauce, and sugar. Cook until all the liquid is absorbed.
3. Mix [1] and [2]. Make 7 balls with potato mixture. Coat them with flour, beaten egg, then panko (bread crumbs).
4. Deep-fry them for 3 minutes on each side, turning over halfway through.

2. Japanese Potato Salad Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・5.3 oz (150g) Potato
・1 oz (30g) Onion
・1 oz (30g) Bacon
・2 Eggs (1 is hard boiled / 1 is soft boiled)
・2-3 tbsp Mayonnaise
・1/2 tsp Soy sauce
・Salt and pepper
・Oil for deep-frying
Topping
・Parmesan cheese
Direction
1. Cut potato into small pieces, and cook it in microwave. Mash potatoes.
2. Slice onion. Pat dry it with paper towel. Deep-fry it to make them crispy onion.
3. Dice hard boiled egg. Slice bacon, and saute it in pan. Mix mashed potato with crispy onion, bacon, and boiled egg.
4. Put mayonnaise, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine. Put soft boiled egg as topping. Sprinkle on parmesan cheese as you like.
Ready to eat!
3. Potato Tempura Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・5.3 oz (150g) Potato
Tempura batter
・2.5 oz (70g) Flour
・0.4 cup (100ml) Cold water
・Half of egg
・A pinch of Salt
・Aonori (Dried green seaweed)
・Oil for deep-frying
Direction
1. Cut potato into thin sticks.
2. Make tempura batter mixing flour, cold water, and egg. (Mix water and egg thoroughly first, then add the flour.) Mix until a few lumps remain.
3. Deep-fry potato after dipping it in batter. Fry in oil for 3 minutes on each side.
4. Sprinkle salt and aonori as you like.
Ready to eat!
4. Cod Roe Potato Stacks Recipe
Ingredients (for 1-2 servings)
・2.8 oz (80g) Potato
・1 oz (30g) Spicy cod roe
・1 tbsp Mayonnaise
・1 tsp Olive oil
・Aonori (Dried green seaweed)
Direction
1. Thinly slice potato.
2. Mix spicy cod roe with mayonnaise.
3. Prepare ramekins (if ramekin is not available, make small cups with aluminum foil). Spread olive oil on the bottom of cups as needed. Layer the sliced potatoes into ramekins while spreading cod roe paste in between.
4. Bake in 482°F (250°C) oven for 15 minutes until slightly browned.
5. Sprinkle aonori as you like.
Ready to eat!
5. Braised Meat and Potatoes (Niku-jaga) Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・7 oz (200g) Potato
・7 oz (200g) Thinly sliced beef & pork
・3.5 oz (100g) Onion
・2 oz (60g) Carrot
・1.25 cups (300ml) Water
・3 tbsp Sake
・3 tbsp Soy sauce
・2 tbsp Sugar
・1 tbsp Mirin
Topping
・Snow peas
Direction
1. Slice onion. Cut potato and carrot into bite-sized. Cut away edges of potato if you can so that they will not fall apart easily while cooking.
2. Put onion, sake, soy sauce, sugar, and mirin in pot. Bring to a boil and add meat.
3. Bring it to a boil again. Skim scum off top of soup.
4. Add potato and carrot. Cover and simmer until liquid is reduced.
Ready to eat!
6. Crispy Potato Gyoza (Dumpling) Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・Gyoza wrappers
・2.8 oz (80g) Potato
・0.5 oz (15g) Onion
・0.5 oz (15g) Bacon
・1/2 tsp Olive oil
・1/2 tsp Stock powder (cube)
・Salt and pepper
・1 tbsp Corn
・Shredded cheese
・Oil for deep-frying
Direction
1. Cut potato into small pieces, and cook it in microwave. Mash potatoes.
2. Mince onion and bacon, and fry them with a little oil.
3. Season them with stock powder, salt, and black pepper.
4. Mix [3] with [1]. Add corn, and stir to combine.
5. Wrap [4] and shredded cheese in gyoza wrappers.
6. Deep-fry gyoza until golden brown.
