1. Ham and Egg

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・2 slices of Ham
・1 Egg
・A pinch of Salt and pepper

Direction

1. Put 2 slices of ham in a small heat-resistant bowl stacking only one place on the edge of the ham.

2. Crack the egg on top of the ham.

3. Gently make 3-4 holes in the egg yolk using folk so that it prevents eggs from exploding when warmed.

4. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper, and cover with another ham.

5. Lightly cover the bowl with plastic wrap.

6. Microwave at 500W for 1.5 minutes. (If you like fully cooked egg, please heat for another 15 sec.)

7. Cut in half.

Ready to eat!

2. Egg Miso Soup

Ingredients (for 2 servings)

・1.6 cups (400ml) Water
・2 tbsp Miso paste*
・2 Eggs
・1.2 oz (35g) Carrot
・1.2 oz (35g) Onion

・Minced green onion (as topping)

*If your miso paste does not contain dashi, please add 1/2 tsp of dashi granules or use dashi soup stock instead of water.

Direction

1. Shred carrot and onion.

2. Boil the water in your pot, and cook carrot and onion.

3. When they are cooked, crack eggs into the pot. Boil until eggs are as firm as you like.

4. Dissolve 2 tbsp of miso paste. Stir carefully so as not to break the eggs.

5. Dish up and put minced green onion as you like.

Ready to eat!

3. Stir-fried Tofu and Egg

Ingredients (for 2 servings)

・5.3 oz (150g) Tofu
・2 Eggs
・2.5 oz (70g) Canned tuna
・1.5 oz (45g) Carrot

・1/2 tsp Soy sauce
・1/2 tsp Sugar

・1 tsp Soy sauce
・1 tsp Mirin (or Sake+Sugar)

・Minced green onion (as topping)

Direction

1. Wrap the tofu with paper towel and put a weight on it to drain water.

2. While waiting for the tofu, Shred the carrot.

3. Tear tofu into bite-sized pieces with your hands.

4. Drain excess oil of tuna.

5. Prepare beaten egg. Please season it in advance with 1/2 tsp of soy sauce and sugar.

6. Heat the frying-pan, and pour oil. Stir-fry shredded carrot.

7. Add canned tuna and tofu. Remove the moisture of the tofu by stir-frying well.

8. Add about 1 tsp of soy sauce and mirin. Mix well.

9. Add beaten egg, and cook until the egg becomes nice and fluffy.

Ready to eat!

You can put it on a bowl of rice or also make sandwich with this!

4. Dashi-rolled Egg (Japanese-style Rolled Omelette)

Ingredients (for 1-2 servings)

・2 Eggs
・3 tbsp Water
・A pinch of Dashi granules

・1/2 tsp Sugar
・A pinch of Salt

・Grated daikon (as topping)
・Shiso leaf (as topping)

Direction

1. Mix 3 tbsp of water and a pinch of dashi granules in a heat-resistant bowl.

2. Microwave it for 20-30 sec to dissolve the dashi. (You can use handmade dashi soup stock too.)

3. Prepare another bowl, and crack the 2 eggs into the bowl.

4. Add 1/2 tsp of sugar, a pinch of salt, and dashi. Stir well.

5. Soak paper towel in oil, and lightly oil the frying pan.

6. Pour egg liquid in 3-4 portions.

7. Once you pour the liquid, use chopsticks to bring it to the edge immediately. You need to bring it together with the image of folding and rolling as much as possible. But, you don’t have to be so nervous. It’s OK if you put it together at the end.

8. Cut the rolled egg into bite-sized.

Ready to eat!

I recommend to eat it with grated daikon and soy sauce!

5. Scrambled Egg and Sausage Bowl

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 Bowl of rice
・1 Egg
・2 tsp Milk
・1/2 tsp Soy sauce
・1/2 tsp Sugar
・1.8 oz (50g) Sausage (Use your favorite ham, bacon, or sausage.)

Direction

1. Crack the egg into the bowl.

2. Add milk, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well.

3. Make a cut in the sausage, and bake them well.

4. Pour oil in the pan, and make scrambled egg.

5. Prepare a bowl of rice, and put scrambled egg and sausage on top of rice. 

Ready to eat!

Please pour extra soy sauce or ketchup when eating!

6. Fluffy Raw Egg on Rice (Fluffy Tamagokake-gohan)

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 Bowl of rice
・1 Egg [Note: Egg has to be thoroughly washed and sterilized for this recipe.]

・1 tsp Soy sauce

Direction

1. Separate the egg into yolk and white.

2. Make meringue using hand mixer. It’s ready when it becomes hard enough not to fall even if tilted.

3. Dish up meringue on the rice. then Put the yolk in the middle.

Ready to eat!

Please pour soy sauce and mix well before eating!
