1. Traditional Tofu & Wakame Miso Soup Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・4.6 oz (130g) Tofu
・1 tbsp Dried wakame seaweed
・1.7 cup (400ml) Water
・2 tbsp Miso paste
・1/2 tsp Dashi granule
Direction
1. Dice tofu.
2. Bring water and tofu to a boil, then add dried wakame seaweed and dashi granules.
3. Simmer for few minutes, and turn off heat.
4. Dissolve miso paste. Stir to combine.
Ready to eat!
2. Egg Miso Soup Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・2 Eggs
・1 oz (30g) Carrot
・1 oz (30g) Onion
・0.5 oz (15g) Enoki mushrooms
・1.7 cup (400ml) Water
・2 tbsp Miso paste
・1/2 tsp Dashi granule
Direction
1. Shred carrot and onion. Cut enoki mushrooms.
2. Bring water and vegetables to a boil, then add enoki mushrooms and dashi granules.
3. Bring to a boil again and crack in eggs.
4. Cook eggs to desired consistency, and turn off heat.
5. Dissolve miso paste. Stir to combine.
Ready to eat!
3. Meat Ball Miso Soup Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・3.5 oz (100g) Ground meat (pork or chicken)
・2-3 tbsp Minced green onion
・1 tsp Sake
・1 tsp Soy sauce
・1/2 tsp Grated ginger
・A pinch of Salt
・2.5 oz (70g) Daikon
・1 oz (30g) Okra
・1.7 cup (400ml) Water
・2 tbsp Miso paste
・1/2 tsp Dashi granule
Direction
1. Thinly slice daikon. Scrub okra with salt removing fuzz, and chop it into small pieces.
2. For meat balls, mix ground meat with salt, sake, soy sauce, ginger, and minced green onion.
3. Bring water and daikon to a boil. Make meat balls using two spoons, then add them to soup. Bring to a boil.
4. Skim foam from top of soup. When meat balls are cooked, add okra.
5. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, and turn off heat.
6. Dissolve miso paste. Stir to combine.
Ready to eat!
4. Bacon & Tomato Miso Soup Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・2 oz (60g) Cherry tomato
・1.7 oz (50g) Bacon
・1.7 oz (50g) Asparagus
・1 oz (30g) Onion
・1.7 cup (400ml) Water
・2 tbsp Miso paste
・1/2 tsp Dashi granule
Direction
1. Cut cherry tomatoes in half. Chop asparagus, slice onion and bacon.
2. Bring water and onion to a boil. When onion gets soft, add asparagus, bacon and dashi granules.
3. Simmer for few minutes. Add cherry tomatoes, and turn off heat.
4. Dissolve miso paste. Stir to combine.
Ready to eat!
5. Pork Miso Soup (Tonjiru) Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・2 oz (60g) Pork belly
・2.5 oz (70g) Tofu
・2.5 oz (70g) Daikon
・1.7 oz (50g) Burdock
・1 oz (30g) Carrot
・1.7 cup (400ml) Water
・2 tbsp Miso paste
・1/2 tsp Dashi granule
Topping
・Minced green onion
Direction
1. Cut pork, tofu, and vegetables into small pieces.
2. Bring water and vegetables to a boil. When vegetables get soft, add tofu, pork, and dashi granules. Bring to a boil.
3. Skim foam from top of soup, and turn off heat.
4. Dissolve miso paste. Stir to combine.
Ready to eat!
6. Milk Miso Soup Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・2 oz (60g) Sausage
・2 oz (60g) Potato
・1 oz (30g) Carrot
・1 oz (30g) Onion
・2 tbsp Corn
・1.2 cup (280ml) Water
・0.5 cup (120ml) Milk
・1.5 tbsp Miso paste
・1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
・1/2 tsp Dashi granule
Topping
・Minced parsley
Direction
1. Cut sausage and vegetables into small pieces.
2. Bring water and vegetables to a boil. When vegetables get soft, add sausage, corn, and dashi granules.
3. Add milk. When milk get warm, turn off heat.
4. Add soy sauce and dissolve miso paste. Stir to combine.
