1. Traditional Pork Tempura (Pa-ko-)
Ingredients (for 1 serving)
・3.5 oz (100g) Pork loin
・1 tbsp Soy sauce☆
・1 tsp Sake☆
・1/2 tsp Sugar☆
・1/2 tsp Curry powder☆
・1/2 tsp Grated ginger☆
・1/3 tsp Grated garlic☆
・A pinch of Salt and pepper☆
・2-3 tbsp Beaten egg
・2 tbsp Potato starch
・Oil for frying

Direction
1. Beat slice of pork with a rolling pin to spread thinly.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix ☆. Stir well and soak the pork in the sauce for 10-15 minutes.
3. Coat the pork with beaten egg, and coat it with potato starch.
4. Fry in oil for 3 minutes on each side.
5. Cut into bite-sized pieces, and sprinkle minced green onion. Eat it while dipping in the sauce.
2. Hamburger Steak with Homemade Ponzu Sauce
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・8 oz (230g) Ground beef + pork
・2.8 oz (80g) Onion
・4 tbsp Panko☆
・1/2 Beaten egg☆
・1.5 tbsp Milk☆
・A pinch of Cumin☆
・A pinch of Nutmeg☆
・A pinch of Salt and pepper☆
Sauce
・2 tbsp Sake★
・2 tbsp Soy sauce★
・2 tbsp Mirin★
・1 tbsp Sugar★
・1 tbsp Rice vinegar★
・1/3 tsp Grated garlic★
Topping
・Grated daikon
・Shiso leaves
Direction
1. Mince onion, and warm it in microwave at 500W for 2 minutes. Let it cool completely.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat with cooled onion, and ☆.
3. Form into hamburger patties and pan fry. Cook over medium heat until charred on one side. Turn them over. Cover, and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
4. Clean off some of the dirt, add ★ to the pan with some oil left from the meat, and make the sauce.
5. Arrange the hamburger steak on a plate and top with shiso and grated daikon. Pour the sauce.
3. Karaage with Spicy Tomato Sauce
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・7 oz (200g) Chicken
・1 tbsp Sake☆
・1/2 tbsp Soy sauce☆
・1 tsp Grated ginger☆
・1/2 tsp Grated garlic☆
・A pinch of Sugar☆
・1-2 tbsp Potato starch
・Oil for frying
Tomato sauce
・7 oz (200g) Canned tomato
・1.7 oz (50g) Onion
・1 tsp Olive oil
・1 tsp Minced garlic, grated garlic or garlic powder
・A pinch of Salt and pepper★
・1 tsp Consomme (stock powder)★
・1 tsp Soy sauce★
・1 tsp Miso paste★
・1 tsp Sugar★

Direction
1. Cut chicken into bite-sized piece, and soak them in ☆ for 20 minutes.
2. Mince onion and stir-fry with oil and garlic. When it becomes soft, add canned tomato and ★. Boil it down and make it a little thick. Add butter and honey after turning off the heat.
3. Pat chicken dry and dust with potato starch. Fry in oil for 3 minutes on each side.
4. Serve it with Pour tomato sauce over karaage.
4. Authentic Pork Steak (Tonteki)
Ingredients (for 1 serving)
・3.5 oz (100g) Pork loin
・2 tsp Potato starch
・1 clove of Garlic
・1 tsp Oil
Sauce
・1 tbsp Sake☆
・1 tbsp Soy sauce☆
・1 tbsp Mirin☆
・1.5 tsp Sugar☆
・1 tsp Oyster sauce☆
・1/2 tsp Rice vinegar☆

・Shredded cabbage
・Cherry tomatoes
Direction
1. Cut a slit in the pork. Thinly coat the pork with potato starch.
2. Mix ☆ in a bowl, and prepare the sauce for steak. Slice garlic.
3. Oil the pan, and warm garlic slices for a while. Cook pork over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side.
4. Add the sauce, and heat the sauce until it simmers down. Turn over pork in the middle of the process.
5. Beef Steak Sushi (Niku-Sushi)
Ingredients (for 2-3 servings)
・7 oz (200g) Chunk of beef
・3 tbsp Sake☆
・3 tbsp Soy sauce☆
・1.5 tsp Sugar☆
・1 tsp Grated garlic☆
・1 tsp Grated ginger☆
・1 tsp Oil
Sushi rice
・11.6 oz (330g) Cooked rice
・25ml Rice vinegar★
・11g Sugar★
・3g (1/2 tsp) Salt★
Topping
・Minced green onion
・Grated ginger
Direction
1. Put ☆ in plastic bag and mix well. Add beef.
2. Cook the bag of meat at low temperature in a pot of hot water at 55 to 60 degrees Celsius (131 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). When the temperature drops, turn on the fire to raise the temperature. Cook for 2 hours.
3. [Make sushi rice while cooking beef.] Mix ★ in a heat resistant bowl, heat it in microwave for 1 minute. When cooking the rice with rice cooker, reduce the amount of water by 2 tablespoons. After cooking the rice, mix the vinegar mixture with the rice. Cool for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Remove the meat from the bag and wipe off the moisture with paper towel.
5. Oil the pan. Place the meat in hot oil and cook quickly on high heat only on the surface.
6. Thinly slice the steak. Make sushi with the steak.
6. Simmered Chicken & Daikon
Ingredients (for 2-3 servings)
・7 oz (200g) Chicken
・9 oz (250g) Daikon
・1 oz (30g) Carrot
・3 Ginger slices
・0.6 cup (150ml) Water
・2 tbsp Sake☆
・2 tbsp Soy sauce☆
・2 tbsp Mirin☆
・1/2 tbsp Sugar☆
・1 tsp Rice vinegar☆

・Mizuna (Potherb mustard)
Direction
1. Cut vegetables and chicken into bite-sized pieces. Shred ginger.
2. Cook daikon with water for 3-4 minutes.
