Do you like bacon?
I think many of you like crispy bacon for breakfast, or you may have other favorite bacon recipe.
Of course I like bacon, and it is very convenient ingredient when I cook spaghetti. Bacon always gets along well with other materials, doesn’t it?
Also I believe it is popular to use bacon for wrapping every materials such as vegetable.
Actually, asparagus rolled with bacon is popular dish in Japan.
When I pick up asparagus at the grocery store, the recipe for “ASPARAGUS & BACON miso soup” came into my head.
I’ve never used bacon and asparagus for miso soup, but I expect they will do good job!
【Recipe (2 servings)】
Ingredients
1 oz miso paste (fermented soybean paste)*1
1 teaspoon dashi granules*2
1 oz bacon, Cut into bite-sized
2 oz asparagus, Cut into bite-sized
2 oz potato, Cut into bite-sized
1.7 cups (400ml) water
*1 Feel free to adjust the amounts of miso paste to your liking.
*2 If miso paste already contains dashi, don’t need dashi granules. I use miso paste containig dashi this time.
Directions
1. Heat water and potato in a saucepan.
2. Once it boils, add bacon and asparagus. All ingredients are cooked through, remove from heat. Add dashi granules if you need.
3. Add miso paste and stir until miso is completely melted
Ready to eat!
My husband was surprised when he saw the soup at first.
He never thought about this recipe, but he said it tastes awesome!!
The crisp asparagus and flavorful bacon are absolutely the best ingredients for miso soup!
Actually potato also became wonderful supporting player in the soup.
I am pretty sure bacon lover will like the dish as well.
