What Is Miso Ball?

Miso ball (Miso-dama) is literally miso ball made from miso paste. You can make miso soup in an instant just by dissolving miso ball with hot water. Remarkably shortens the cooking time because you don’t have to make miso soup in a pot!

How Long Does Miso Ball Last?

If it is refrigerated it can last about 1 week.
If it is frozen storage it can last about 1 month.

As you would expect, it tastes better to eat early.

1. Green Onion Miso Soup

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 tbsp Miso paste
・2 tsp Minced green onion
・2 tsp Dried bonito flakes
・0.7 cup (170ml) Boiled water

Direction

1. Mix miso paste with green onion and dried bonito flakes.

2. Make miso ball, and keep it refrigerated or frozen.

Pour boiled water when eating!

2. Wheat Gluten Miso Soup

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 tbsp Miso paste
・Wheat gluten
・1 tsp Minced green onion
・A pinch of Dashi granules (Hondashi)
・0.7 cup (170ml) Boiled water

Direction

Direction

1. Cut spinach quite small, and boil them. Pat it dry with paper towel.

2. Mix miso paste with boiled spinach. Keep it refrigerated or frozen.

6. Cabbage Miso Soup

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 tbsp Miso paste
・0.5 oz (15g) Cabbage
・2 tsp Dried bonito flakes
・0.7 cup (170ml) Boiled water

Direction

1. Cut cabbage quite small, and fry them (without oil). Pat it dry with paper towel.

2. Mix miso paste with cooked cabbage. Keep it refrigerated or frozen.

・1 tbsp Miso paste
・1 tbsp Diced carrot

Direction

・1 sheet of Shiso leaf
・2 tsp Dried bonito flakes

*Because pickled plum is salty, you should probably reduce amount of miso paste.

Direction
