      If you want to say “low-key” in Japanese, I would recommend these words:
      ■大人しい(おとなしい・Otonashii)
      ■控えめな(ひかえめな・Hikaemena)
      ■派手ではない(はでではない・Hade dewanai)

      Ex.
      She is a low-key person.
      彼女は、大人しい性格です。
      かのじょは、おとなしいせいかくです。
      Kanojo wa, Otonashii Seikaku desu.

      ※性格(せいかく・Seikaku)→ Personality

      Ex2.
      The party will be very low-key.
      そのパーティーはとても控えめです。
      そのぱーてぃーはとてもひかえめです。
      Sono Pa-thi- wa Totemo Hikaeme desu.
