      How do you describe various ways to cut vegetables, for example, minced garlic, chopped onion, shredded carrot in Japanese?

      Minced garlic:
      にんにくのみじんぎり
      Ninniku no Mijingiri

      chop (cut) into small pieces:
      みじんぎりにする
      Mijingiri ni Suru

      ■List
      ・chop finely / mince→ みじんぎり(Mijingiri)
      ・long strips / shred→ 千切り(せんぎり、Sengiri)
      ・stripes / thin rectangles→ 短冊切り(たんざくぎり、Tanzakugiri)
      ・dice→ 角切り(かくぎり、Kakugiri)
      ・slice→ 薄切り(うすぎり、Usugiri)
      ・coins / rounds→ 輪切り(わぎり、Wagiri)

      If you want to use these as a Verb, please add “ni suru”
      みじんぎりにする(Mijingiri ni Susru)
      千切りにする(Sengiri ni Suru)
      短冊切りにする(Tanzakugiri ni Suru)etc
