Chicken Katsu Bowl (Chicken Cutlet Bowl)

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 bowl of Rice

・4.2 oz (120g) Chicken
・A pinch of Salt and pepper
・1 Egg
・2 tbsp Flour
・Panko
・Oil for frying

・2 oz (60g) Onion
・2 Eggs
・3 tbsp Water
・1 tbsp Sake
・1 tbsp Soy sauce
・1 tbsp Mirin
・1 tbsp Sugar
・1/2 tsp Dashi powder

Direction

1. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the chicken.

2. Make batter by mixing egg and flour.

3. Dip chicken in the batter and coat it with panko.

4. Fry in oil for 4 minutes on each side.

5. Slice onion. Put water, sake, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and dashi powder in a pan. Simmer onion in the sauce.

6. When the onions get soft, add beaten egg. When the eggs are the desired consistency, place them on top of the rice.

7. When the eggs are the desired consistency, place them on top of the rice. Cut chicken cutlet into bite-sized, and place them on top of egg.

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

・1 bowl of Rice

Beef stir-fry
・3.5 oz (100g) Ground beef
・1 tsp Sake★
・1 tsp Soy sauce★
・1/2 tsp Chicken stock powder★
・1/2 tsp Garlic powder★
・1/2 tsp Sugar★
・A pinch of Salt and pepper★
・A pinch of Allspice (Use cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, etc for substitute)★
・A pinch of Cumin★

Tomato salad
・1.7 oz (50g) Tomato
・0.5 oz (15g) Onion
・A pinch of Salt
・Coriander (as much as you want)

Topping
・1 oz (30g) Shredded cabbage
・2-3 tbsp Shredded cheese
・1 Egg (Boiled egg or Onsen egg)

Sauce
・2 tbsp Ketchup
・1/2 tsp Sugar
・A pinch of Chicken stock powder
・A pinch of Garlic powder
・Chili pepper (as much as you want)

Direction

1. Stir-fry beef with all the ingredients [★].

2. Dice tomato and mince onion. Mix these with a pinch of salt and coriander.

3. Prepare sauce by mixing ketchup, sugar, chicken stock powder, garlic powder, and chili pepper. 

4. Serve rice in a bowl. Place shredded cheese, beef, shredded cabbage, tomato salad, and egg. Put sauce on top.
