New thing for today’s potato salad is that it includes a secret ingredient; miso paste!
When it comes to potato salad, mayonnaise is the most important seasoning. But adding miso paste will give you even milder and rich flavor.
By the way Japanese style of potato salad is usually “mashed” well. Although some people may not be used to it, please try this style once.
(Of course it’s totally fine potato’s shape remains).
If you use a microwave, cooking time is only 10 min.

【Recipe (2 servings)】
6 oz potato, Cut into bite-sized
1 oz ham, Cut into bite-sized
1 oz cucumber, Thinly round sliced
1/2 teaspoon miso paste (fermented soybean paste)
2.5 tablespoons mayonnaise
A pinch of salt and pepper
1. Heat potato in a microwave for 4 min. Then mash potato well using masher.
2. Add ham, cucumber, and all seasonings. Mash them together well. Sprinkle extra black pepper as topping if you like!
Ready to eat!
