Takoyaki is very fluffy and savory food loved by many people in the world.
There is a sauce exclusively for the takoyaki, however, it’s not easy to get all the time, right?
For people who want some easy recipe for homemade takoyaki sauce, this is the best one!
It takes only 90 sec to complete!
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
・3 tbsp Tonkatsu sauce
・1 tbsp Mentsuyu*
・1 tsp Sugar
・1 tsp Ketchup
・1.5 tsp Soy sauce
・1.5 tsp Mirin
・A pinch of Dashi granules (hondashi)
1. Mix all of the seasonings. Stir well.
2. Microwave at 500W for 30 sec.
3. Take out, and stir well.
Ready to use!
By the way, there are several types of sauce in Japan.
This time, I used tonkatsu sauce because it’s thick and similar to takoyaki sauce. On the other hand, Worcestershire sauce is very thin type. So, it’s not really suitable for making homemade takoyaki sauce.
If there is only Worcestershire sauce, you should probably add some corn starch or potato starch to make the sauce thicker.
Chuno sauce (thickness is medium) is also available if you have one.
